Amana Gas Range Control Panel

06/04/2012 3:36 PM

With regards to an Amana Gas Range (ACS3350AS) I have searched the web looking for the proper way to remove the Front Control Panel. The part is no longer available and I need to fix it myself, and I do believe I can, but I can't see how to remove it. I have "Googled" the daylights out of it, but can't find any instructions. Any thoughts are welcome!

Not really. I have that document and although it really looks like you just remove some screws, they don't show you how to get below the burners to access the back of the Control Panel to remove the Heat Shield shown. But thanks for a really prompt comment!

I misunderstood what part you are trying to change out..are you trying to replace the burner controls? or the main control? or what? The link I provided gives detailed schematics like this one below of every section of the stove...Find the section with the part and link to it.....The 'heat guard' does not come off...The burner controls are accessed from above, the top lifts up on most....

Well, I want to access the actual Control Panel in the front bezel. When I pick up all the grates and the plates that cover the burners, I see just a Stainless Steel formed covering with no screw access to the area below?! I need to get to the actual Control Panel and PCBoard area. No one has been able to lead me to that area?

Maybe you should just call a repairman, or somebody with some mechanical ability, or perhaps another stove, that works....

Try calling the manufacturer and asking for the technical services department.
