...Enterprise Resource Planning software. In this day and age I can't see a shop functioning without one unless you're really small. As to which one to use?...depends on your budget, how big your shop is, and what you want the software to do.

No doubt all businesses went broke before this "essential software" came along.

Planes, trains, and automobiles were designed and built before computers came along but now we can do it better (faster, more efficient, etc). See what I'm sayin' ??

Hello Friend

An ERP software is good for the manufacturing company.

By using this you can plan your expected date of finished product by getting idea about basic material collection, prepn of materials, stock qty, performance of m/c etc.

We are using SAP 7.4.1.0

Hi Ankit, These both softwares ERP and SAP are expensive. They are mostly used by large mfg. units, small factories can not afford them also not suitable for their requirements.

SAP is obviously expensive...There are ERP in market as cheap as 13k only(Tally)...My company also develops software for SME(Small and Medium Scale Enterprises). In fact, ERP market for SME is the fastest growing market in india.

Draffy, It is 13k Rupees. Convert it into dollars and you will learn that Tally is the cheapest one. However, they lack customization after certain extent.
