Power Back Gauge for Press Brake

Good day all !!!!

Does anybody know the best way to construct power back gauge for press brake?

Is there any link ? Press is 6m long.

Yes I would know but you would have to express more details. ie/ application et al. That would probably go for all the cr4'rs also. As well, if you had a guage what do you want it to do or tell you. I can tell you this, if your application is what I think it is, then you could do it for less than $80 USF! Please supply more info! Ashman.

Good day

I have 6m press brake with hand powerd back gauge . I want to construct electric powered back gauge with dro sistem on it.Where i can buy such actuators, and how much it cost.

I have workshop with all machines lathe,milling mach. grinding mach. I can doo all attachments.

You should go & have a look at a few press brakes with back gages, you could construct your own using linear rails & ball screws with encoder motor/s & a simple PLC control, not very difficult if you can do a bit of "mud map" design & run it by a local toolroom or engineering work shop to cost it out, make it fairly rugged as some operators slam the sheets back against the stops when loading, have hardened stop blocks that can be reground if worn & will allow to adjust when setting parallel to the bed keyways/mount rails in the initial setup.

If you want to see a real clean setup for an adjustable backguage then check with a local printer an see if the have a Polar Cutter in their shop. Probably the best system ever designed using a central screw with a floating backguage. Probably have to beef it up for steel but can definately be built using a PLC and motor with an encoder on it.
