controls and recievers for beginers?

Hi all

First of all, i have to say thanks to internet that guys like me are able to

ask their questions.

I am very very new to electronics, as a computer programmer i didnt need it

until now that i am out of work, and i got very interested in making my own circuts.

what i want to know is where can i find some good ny beginers stof in making (Controls "FM", and recievers)...

Its got to be for someone like me who dont know much about electronics to begin

with. But my experience tells me, that if i start making something then i will learn

more and quicker..
