Impingment Question

what is boiler impingment ? is it same as flame impingmet?

It's when the flame from the burner is striking the boiler tube walls causing premature failure....

In the boiler, flame impingement is of interest. Elsewhere in the system, say in a turbine, water droplet impingement on blades would be a concern.
