"engine battries cells are designed in series or parallal"

Well, lets see. If the cells of a typical lead acid battery were connected in parallel the battery would measure somewhere around 2 volt. Right? What is the actual voltage measured, and why is that?

Well, that is an entirely different question, or I wildly misunderstood your original post.

Please slow down a little bit and explain, as completely as you can, just what we can help you to do. What engine? Is this a diesel powered generator?

I see you are a student, so you are not involved an getting something to function.

Can you tell us: Has your money for textbooks been repurposed?

Good morning.

You started off with "how many types engine battries... engine battries cells are designed in series or parallal"

Then you told us "max volotage 12 volts. total 4 battries are connected in engine...."

And now you tell us "24 v battary .... 6 cells are there.."

If you wish to have some advice, you really do need to tell us what is going on.
