Hi Pete,

Thanks for the link! Some interesting stuff, but I think there is more hype than reality about Nikola Tesla in the archives.

You can actually make a clickable link in your posts by selecting the site address and then clicking the button. Just makes it easier for others to see the object of your post.

"The natural progress of things is for liberty to yeild yield, and government to gain ground"
This is a misleading statement...more accurately stated....Freedom becomes more and more constrained as population density increases is a natural progression...The closer people live together the more likely it is that your actions interfere with your neighbors freedoms, is a natural progression of societal growth in free nations...Government becomes larger out of necessity as population increases...

You should be ashamed of the profanity. Get the truth. Your link reminds me of the political commercials in politics today.

You're kidding surely?

Wimsical, yes, but profane? Must be a cultural thing. How dare you look down on my culture!!!!

Anywho, I was just the postman. That bit of "profanity" came straight from the OP's citation and it reappeared on yours. Go figure?

My point would have been, if the thought-police hadn't decided to have a hissy fit, ....how does this campaigner hope to garner any support for his charity by openly publishing this sort of purile nonsense? (in a strange font no less!!)

Respect.

Your remark got deleted before I saw it...but I assume was in reaction to The Oatmeal's "GD" remarks. I didn't like the way he went about it either...but I am putting that aside for the greater good.

I did not, however, put that link on my Facebook for just that reason. My mom would have chided me!

The controversy between Edison's DC and Westinghouse's/Tesla's AC figured in the novel and play "A Peep into the Twentieth Century." The Seattle Repertory Theater put on a brilliant performance, but unfortunately the play never really caught on.

There is a nice movie about Tesla called Tesla: Master of Lightning available here along with others. Everyone note that to build somebody up doesn't require tearing somebody else down.

Does that apply to anything I have said here? (Granted, it may apply elsewhere.)

Hey Pete... If it makes you feel any better, I just threw them a couple of bucks.

I think it's a good cause.
