Is there a blog for engineers/researchers to express test instrumentation needs?

I would like to find a blog, if not this one, that would begin to address the analog and digital test instrumentation current and future needs of the engineering and R&D community as well as address emerging trends. There are many makers looking for ideas as to what is needed and what to manufacture. There should be no limit to the measurement application, significant digits/resolution desired, bandwidth, packaging, environment, user friendliness, etc. The "wish list" should however reflect some elements of realism as opposed to "The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy" thinking. Am I in the right place? Comments or suggestions please.
