I am unable to paste a link. If you google: troubleshooting vfd drives

you will get lot of info for a start.

By the way could some friend advise how to put a hyperlink to these posts.

Hi Joshi,

I believe if you copy & paste into your post you will be able to include the hyperlink - it works for me!

Good luck,

Regards,

Keith

Aside from guessing all application info, anachronyms and how device(s) are determined failed - you're preferred course of action after frequent fails is to do the same thing over again and post this? Really?

Truly failing a VFD is a difficult enterprise to undertake. You need someone who can review your application and properly configure the drive. 'Like smoke' = someone who should stay far, far away from this.

Three sorts of people are needed to solve the problem.

  • A qualified electrician, who needs to examine, test and rectify any problem with the wiring either side of the VFD, and
  • A qualified service technician, preferably from the company that manufactured the VSD, to carry out whatever repairs are needed and to cover the facility with a warranty on those repairs to the equipment, and
  • A financial controller, who is able to authorise the budget needed to pay the two types of people above.
