Much of the world also capitalizes it properly.

Remember that the interviewer is only looking for three things:

  1. Can the person do the job?
  2. Will the person do the job?
  3. Will the person fit the organisation?

Remember also that the interviewing company has a serious problem. The only way that it is going to solve that problem is to hire someone. Something on the application leads it to believe that the candidate they are interviewing might just be able to solve that problem.

At interview, find out what the true nature of the company's problem is, and sell it the solution.

Are you sure you're not punching above your weight there?

Share the job link with us.

You have just finished studying? You want an internship not a functional position. Right now you have no clue what you can or might be able to do or enjoy doing.

An internship will/should help you improve your poor communication skills for a start.

First try to know about the company. Their field of operation etc. Then try to understand about the responsibility associated with the post you are going to apply. Then learn about "condition monitoring". Various equipment are installed in the plant and their operation is monitored for their proper working. For this purpose number of operating parameters are recorded and the control system maintains them within specified limits and in case of any deviation, corrective measures are taken. Depending on the process involved, there may be some built-in monitoring features (like temperature , pressure, flow etc.) for monitoring the process, that may involve on-line measurement, recording, data logging etc.

You may like to study about above processes etc. for preparation of inter view. All the best.

Hi

Look at all the major bearing manufacturers web sites as they offer conditioning monitoring. i.e oil sampling and vibration monitoring as well as temperature. This should give you some background information. Also the major desiel engine manufacturers use it some in a live situation, I know CAT have done it for many years.

All the major process industries use it as do the industries using big vehicles such as quarrying and mining. A trawl thor' the web should give you pleanty of background.

Good Luck

Dont get discouraged by some of the comments. You are fresh boy from college, so be natural. Present yourself in proper way. It is understood that you may not be having any knowledge about the job you have applied for. Be frank and show your interest in learning the job requirements.Wish you good luck.

Take a look into "Reliability" and "Predictive Maintenance"

There are several different skills in each to be developed.

Infrared Thermography, Motor Circuit Analysis, Ultrasound, Vibration Analysis, Oil Sampling/Analysis, Failure Analysis, and the list goes on....

Be prepared to discuss each of these, and how you are willing to engage and learn each if necessary.
