File in XP to Windows 7 (txt / exe)

08/31/2012 1:11 PM

"Convert" Imperial to Metric, units etc. and lots more besides. I had this programme in XP sent as a txt file and then I converted it to an exe file. I am now on Windows 7 and you cannot convert like this (apparently! - I've tried and failed). If anyone knows this small programme and has any idea of how to get it to Windows 7 (or has it suitable for Windows 7)I would love to know about it.

Many thanks

What I did was to create a zip file of it. Then I put that file in the new hard drive and unzipped it.

Not sure what you're after, but there are many online conversion calculators...

Josh Madison is awesome! I've been using his convert program for over 10 years. I even sent him a nice "donation" I figured it saved me hundreds of hours in my job. This is the link for it. Just copy and paste into your browser. Consider sending him a donation if it's helped you.
