Lithium Batteries

I would like to know ,where I can purchase quality Lithium batteries at wholesale prices, these batteries will be for storage of power , generated from Wind turbins & A Solar Array. I know there are different types of Lithium batteries , so I want to make sure I choose the correct type. Any Information would be greatly appreciated...

Why lithium and not deep discharge marine batteries?

Are not Lithium batteries, maintenance free & long lasting? It will be used for storage of electric power, generated by solar panel & wind mill.

Deep cycle marine domestic batteries will prove more economical.

Not sure which would be best, will be used in Belize ( Tropical Climate ), I would like to use Lithium if its practical...

Well, when I think of my choices my wallet tends to rule the day.

Lithium Ion batteries are very light and hold a lot of charge, but at a real price!

You can buy a lot of lead acid batteries for the same cost as a few lithium batteries.

If weight is not an issue you may be far better off with tried and true lead acid batteries. Besides price, lead acid is also a lot easy to find if you ever need to replace them or add more capacity.

You can also look at what other people are doing for the same or similar systems and follow their lead.

lithion ion batteries do have there advantages, such as being light weight and being able to hold a charge longer than some batteries. if your applicacition does'nt apply to these two benifits, i'ld never consider using them.

Keep in mind too that the typical lifetime of lithium-ion batteries appears to be 2-5 years. Think of how often laptop computer or cell phone batteries seem to need replacement. I seldom get more than 3 good years out of them. In comparison, lead-acid batteries if properly taken care of will give you at least 10 years if not more of useful life.
