Industrial Plant Earthing and Lighting Calculations & Doc.

Dear Guys,

I have to do complete earting calculations for a mining/mineral industrial plant. Which IEC and IEEE document provide the complete industrial plant earthing calculations like, Specific estimated coefficient of resistance of soil, Resistance to one vertical earthing, Estimated number of vertical earth electrodes, Length of the horizontal earthing arrangement of the electrodes in a row, Horizontal resistance earthing, taking into operating factor, Full resistance of grounding conductors, The specified quantity of vertical grounding conductors taking into account a connecting strip etc.

Is it possible to get the formulas and sample calculation methods from any document?

Also I look for the document provides lighting (not lightning) calculations?

Is it possible to share with me if you have some sample calculations?

It's all in British Standard 7671, and if a copy is currently unavailable it can be purchased on-line from one of the British Standards Institution's sales outlets.

Thank you for your comments,

Ignorance is quite natural, but such kind of reply from you guys totally loses my motivation and confidence to ask for something to get/share through this forum. Freshers are not learning everything from university like a baby when he/she come out from the womb of his/her mother but through experience also help from others (like forum/text books/standards etc.), they learn many things day-by-day and also confirm it what they studied were 100% perfect. Experts were also a beginner in the beginning.

Unfortunately my children didn't come with an owner's manual. And when I was in College, 3 things were hammered home and that is, Research, Research and More Research. Then, if you still have unanswered questions, you might consider asking someone in a forum such as this one. Also, while in College, we also got to know the standards we would be working with on a personal level. You'll find that everyone here in the CR4 community is willing to help, as long as the OP has done their Research and not expect someone to do their homework for them.

Start researching and learning. This site has loads of other very readable and useful information.
