Shift Scheduling

Hi

I am not able to figure out shift rotation for 5 day working with 24x7 coverage and having at least 2 people per shift present. Can anybody give an idea how many people I will need and how they will rotate the shifts, after each weekly off shift needs to be changed in manner - night to evening to morning shift.

I do not think, you can get this software gratis, in the open source. Get it developed yourself, to meet your need.

Three groups of two people each - A,B and C. Large number of permutations seem possible.

Or am i missing something?

Seems simple when you don't have to work them.

The best people to work out a shift pattern are the ones that are going to work it.

Of course you are right, That is why i responded, having worked the first ten years of my career as a 'shift engineer'.

Now, any specific comments on my worksheet analysis?
