Generator 3 Phase 4 Wire and Delta-Wye Transformer

Generator 400/230 VAC 3 phase 4 wire. Can it connect to delta-wye step up transformer ? How about the vector group of transformer ? and star point of the generator could be connected to ground or not.

A3) Follow the wiring codes applicable to the country of installation.

Very good, but if you are wiring delta-wye, why would you? The ground/neutral will be provided on the wye side.

You can connect the Generator 3 phases to the Delta side of the transformer, provided the voltage rating is correct.

You can connect the Star point of the genset to ground. It will serve to trigger any protection device on the Gen side with the primary delta winding.

The vector group of the Transformer is stamped on the nameplate and remains the same while having nothing to do with connecting the Generator (Unless you are parallelling the transformer ...

The secondary winding, Wye, will have a central point, the Neutral, which can be connected to ground to allow the proper functioning of protective devices downstream of that 2ndary winding.
