Telephone calls to both the cable supplier and the termination component supplier would answer the query.

It is usually the termination device that detarmines the torque value.

No, you follow the instructions relating to the specific joint (the torque varies) as too much or too little torque is bad.

You are a student aren't you, because based on your questions I would be very concerned if you actually work in the power industry?

Cable termination torque is often specified by the mfr of the cable termination device. Small ones can be done with a torque screwdriver, larger ones with a torque wrench.

At the time of cable termination the cable lugs to be tightened(ie torqued) as per the manufacturer recommendation. The termination torque may vary with bus bars, cable size etc. The manufacturer should specify a terminaation torque. Torque wrench is used for the measurment of torque
