Absolutely!

Get a 1 watt motor. Hook it up to the 1 hp motor with a transmission system (you can either perform the engineering calculations or perform trial & error analysis) that will turn the 1 hp motor at a speed that does not require more input power than the 1 watt motor is capable of providing.

For the modest sum of $9.99 plus $19.99 shipping & handling I know where you can get information on how to run it on 1/2 a watt!!

It only works when you cascade multiple motors, like the CR4 inventor that thought he could use a small battery powered motor to power a string of increasingly larger generators to get a MW level power station, all from a single battery.

But that's what -he? she?? it???- asked! All you hafta do is gear it low enuf ta turn, any farmer coulda toldya that. Nobody said anything about getting constructive work out of it or even having the 1 hp motor attached to wires at all!!

Now I get all these OT's - oh wait, I marked it OT myself. Just like every other post I've seen from this-umm, Poster??

The question is just begging for ridicule...

It's like saying "How can I get a loaf of bread from a slice of bread?" Makes no sense.

There's a story somewhere about loaves and fishes, and feeding 5000 people. It sounds similar.

None of the questions posted by this member make any sense, at all.

Depends on what your definition of 'Run' is. If you mean will it act as a nice resistive and inductive load then yes it will. If you mean will it turn, then no.

Common sense. Come on, our company secretary could guess why and she has no engineering background.

For a more detailed practical example try pushing a car with your finger. Will it move with enough force, yes. Will it move with a small amount of force, no.
