I suspect that providing mfg name & part number for the relays and the sockets might help you get better responses.

You have to physically check, if you don't know.

Or, if you can't find the data sheet.

Or, if you can't read the data sheet.

Or, if you can't find an Omron website that has the data sheet.

By the way, I don't have a clue, either.

"On the relay base the numbering is 12 11 22 24."

1. Please ignore the relay base numbering.

2. You will find a keyway on the relay pins & a matching slot on the relay base.

It is provided to ensure that relay fits the relay base at a definite orientation.

3. The pin numbers are counted clock-wise with the base socket/relay pins facing

you, from the key/slot starting with No.1 & ending at No.8. To check that you are

right, locate pins 2 & 7 with the relay plugged into base, measure relay coil

resistance & check N/O & N/C contacts with the help of a DVM/VOM.

If you are still in doubt/confusion, please ask.

plckid,

Assuming you are the OP (Anonymous #1);

If you are in the US and UL listing is importasnt to you, then you are technically NOT ALLOWED to use relays in bases that have not been tested and UL recognized with the relay. True, an octal socket is usually the same all around, but the rules under UL are that the plug-in relays and their bases are not UL listed, they are UR, or UL Recogniozed Components, meaning they MUST be used in a specific manner. That specific manner, in this case, is that the relays and sockets must be listed together, and for the most part, relay mfrs do not bother to list their relays with sockets from competitors.

Most people do not know this and do it all the time of course, but if UL approval is necessary, you will find out the hard way if you try to get this combination through UL. They will bounce you on it.

Been there, done that, got the t-shirt and the hat.
