Welding Question

Hi All,

Pls advice me on below.

Weld gap between two Fillet welds ?

Example Bulk head Pipe penetration.

Gap between weld of Doubler to BHD and Douler to Pipe.

HAZ ?

Is there any where specified in any Rules and Regulations ?

As a rule of thumb, I never try to weld a gap any larger than my welding rod.

Sorry for mis understanding. My question was " what is the minimum distance between two fillet joints"

Well, if one were welded on top of, across or in contact with another, the answer copuld be, er, um, zero.

mohammedyassar: You have to mention the design code and welding code atleast with your question.Then only the scientists in this forum is capable to atleast review your question.
