Hi All,

Any advise, we have one control vlv IP positioner entry thread damege during the cable glanding, need your advise any way to repair the entry thread to avoid replacement of the positioner.

If not irreparably damaged, you can often 'chase' threads by running a correct tap through the hole.

If irreparably damaged, is there enough room for something like a Helicoil or Permacoil?

Can it be tapped-out to the next gland size up (obviously not if it is an EEx d installation in a hazardous area)?

What material is the damaged thread made of (some are plastic while others are metal)?

Is it being installed in a hazardous area (in which case entry modification options are seriously limited)?

If this is for an industrial application only then drilling the hole out to the next size up and using a reducer gland may also be an option.

Hi All

Instrumentation junction box entry hole, th design for the single pair cable entry was on the front and the spare hole was on the back, any concern if all cable glanded on the front hole and spare hole on the back.

Any advise
