Compressor Turbine

Dears All

I want to know what is Compressor Turbine (CT) , the department that located in end of GG in gas turbines? and what's it application?

In a compressor turbine the shaft of compressor and turbine is common. basically its a case of gas turbine plant...where power is devloped by this turbo compressor concept

But in some gas turbine there are two separate shaft ( double shaft) , and in end of rotor compressor located two or more disc and stator that names CT (compressor turbine) , even in single shaft is too.

this department is located in hot section too , instead rotor compressor that located in cold section.
