Start with the work practices and procedures. Gather information on electricity-related incidents and accidents that have occurred. Focus the discussion on how these occurred and how they could be prevented from recurring without going along the blame route. Improve the procedures from the outcome of the discussion.

Repeat at intervals.

Use the outcome as training material for new entrants to the facility and as guidance and induction material for contractors.

I do not believe that you are the appropriate person for this task.

If you have no training in this area, how could you possibly qualify as an instructor?

You need formal training for this exercise to be effective. otherwise, you may be held responsible for the death of workers who were trained by you.

It will be your personal responsibility to have proper training BEFORE you can train other people.

Don't just read a book and think you're ready to teach electrical safety.

Greetings.

A couple of years ago my company needed a simular course for non technical staff.

Platt Electric had a person on staff and he came over and gave everyone the very informative and entertaining class after the Regional Manager saw the class.

You might try any electric supply, Home Depot, Lowes, etc they are great resources.

Have a Great Day

Oly

Wrist straps aren't for electrical safety!
