Not that anything is bad in your examples, but your interviewer might have been looking for accredited course work, documented Web seminars, etc. Other possibilities include classes in first aid, hazardous material handling, etc.

So i want to know what is the way to increase technical knowledge?

Using the internet for study and then taking this information and using it in a practical way (for example a personal project, writing a paper for publishing, taking a online engineering-related course, etc).

Interviewers just love people how are able to show and validate motivated self-learning with examples rather than just saying what you think they want to hear.

Dear friend

recruiters usually interview more than one candidate for one position. Right? so he has to refuse some candidates even unwillingly...It is just like window shopping..If you go to a shop for buying a soap..you ask prices of all soap available and select one..it is not necessarily best available but best suited to your need with available money..

To enhance technical skill we have to interact with each other and keep ourselves up to date with latest research papers and articles..

HR many times has no depth to technical knowledge in an applied field, so they ask questions that are SOP. Just by joining this forum you are advancing your technical skills. Write papers, get involved with current problems and develop solutions.

Don't forget to join professional societies in your country. Become active in them, as well as attend their various functions. If needed, perform 'pro bono" work for charities, etc..

Do not forget to take Continuing education courses too to further your knowledge base.

Yes sir, As i am purcuing B.Tech in mechanical through distance learning i am experiencing the same. as working in the office till 10 to 11 Hr and after office i do study for 1 hr. Daily, It is going easy for me to understand subject/concept more than when i am studying during my collage day.

Your suggestion is 100% right that each one can continue education courses to increase knowledge base in his field or outside of his field.

Thanks.
