How about the Haynes manual?

This sounds like a pump/ECU failure. Is the battery in good shape?

Check to be certain voltage isn't dropping too low on startup, ECU turns the injector pump off when voltage drops.

the battery is in good shape and also have connected another battery for good measure but no change we have checked that we are getting a feed on the solenoid on the pump but are only guessing which terminals are for the solenoid. do you have any more information on the pump and its wiring.

thanks

Measure power to solenoid, if power is available, then check continuity of solenoid coil.

hi i have measured continuity of the solenoid but am unsure of what it should read or if infact if i am measuring the right pin for the solinoid. i have measured the centre pin which is the main red cable going to the pump and am getting 4.9K which seems to high for me, i would think it should be quite low, do you have any information on pin configuration and what the readings should be.

any help will be appreciated

thanks

For 12 V supply, the solenoid resistance of 4.9 K is very high. I have no clue to its pin connection. Normally there should be 2 pins for the supply with two wires, one going to body/earth & the other switched supply source. May be you can test the solenoid with 12 V & observe if it operates. Please be very careful, the battery has lots of power storage. If you have type no. of the solenoid, you may Google additional info. Are you getting supply at the solenoid?

not sure if i am getting power to the solinoid, i am only guessing which wire is for the solinoid as it is internal and without a physical schematic i have no idea of which wire is going where or what pins should have power , but your help is appreciated and anymore information will be more than helpful.

thanks
