Flow Rate Through Ball Valve

12/25/2012 10:18 AM

In a 6" equal percentage caged ball valve following information is available for three different upstream pressures:

Kv, percent travel & travel angle (Downstream pressure, NTP volume flow & temp are same for all the cases).

Can we draw a curve of "flow vs valve position" with this information for different upstream pressures?

If interpolating within the range of the given upstream pressures, you should be able to draw reasonably accurate curves. I wouldn't be confident in extrapolating outside that range, however, at least not very far.
