New Year's Resolutions!

01/02/2013 9:16 AM

Happy New Year everyone!

I hope everyone had an enjoyable enough time in 2012, because it's time to make room for 2013! Like most people, I've made a few New Year's resolutions - some plausible, some "nice to think about". My big focus will be on learning a more diverse array of programming languages, and trying to get a basic webpage up and working (just for the fun of it).

So, CR4 community, did you make a resolution, and how likely are you to follow through on it?

Also, as a little bonus, here's a little puzzle for anyone with a couple minutes to spare:

6a:76:76:72:3a:2f:2f:6b:2e:6b:6f:69:77:74:2e:65:71:6f:2f:4c:69:71:54:6c:2e:72:70:69

Note: the end url has to be properly cased at the end!

I'm more curious about everyone's resolutions, but if you're stuck on the little puzzle, I suppose I can throw you a bone.

Re: New Year's Resolutions!

Well let's see Mizuti, I kinda gave up on making resolutions quite a few years ago.

See, every Dec31 I would make a few, by 2Janxx all broken. Every year it was to quit smoking, total failure. That was till 4Sep2010, at approx 6:10PM I had a stroke. Went to hospital and continued smoking till we pulled in the emergency entrance. Walked inside,

then really blew it. 2 days later became the proud owner of a stent and my last cig was on 4Sep2010. This year, no resolution. Now I just have to lose the 35lbs after taking up cooking, and eating... 10" snow outside, 15'F still cooking Angus steaks out on the grill,

sauteed onions, mushrooms and garlic, with a little Worcester and some Habanaro on the side burners. Standing there in my Parka. 23mph NW wind. Nothing like it.

Next resolution will be to move to Hawaii!!

Lose about 15 pound around my mid section, it used to be 20, but I already lost 5. Of course I'm sure the first 5 are the easiest.

Great Caesar's Ghost!

There's an algorithmic flaw in this Python program, despite the fact it returns the correct answer for this particular clue.

Can you spot it?
