22 kV Cable

Hi all

After laying the 22kv cable in the trench and then carryout HIPOT testing were getting insulation sheath too low. any way to trace where is the damage location???

There are several ways, ranging from touchy-feely with the Mk.1 eyeball, the use of binoculars, and electronic testing equipment for hire that says where on the cable the problem lies.

Give details of cable,test voltage(amount,ac/dc,duration)leakage current etc and limits given in codes/standards
