132KV Disconnector Switch

Dear all

What is the difference between vertical and horizontal 132KV Disconnector switch & is it permissible to use one instead of the other

Basically the vertical and horizontal disconnector switch is purely the construction based variant, either it can be vertical / horizontal blade / knife type. the only thing you have to concentrate is , the continuous current rating, and fault level with standing capacity. Also is it mechanically suits the conductor, without reducing the area of contact.
