Potential Transformer

is the primary winding of Potential transformers used in the M.V switchgears connected between two phases or betwen a phase and ground i.e the p.t used in M.V switchgears basically step down phase to phase voltage or phase to ground voltage .second question is which winding i.e H.T or L.V of the P.T is grounded ? regards,

Usually the three transformers are connected between the phases and neutral (or ground if no neutral). Output (LV) windings are grounded.

That's my best guess .
