Calculation Process Regarding PFI?

01/22/2013 1:44 AM

Dear,

Is there any calculation process for PFI for gas generator of capacity 1063KW?We want to improve Power factor from 0.6 to 0.95? What will be the capacity of extra PFI for the generator.

Thanks

Low power factor indicates a mismatch between the generator and the load. It is best addressed by putting power factor improvement equipment at the load end of the supply cable from the generator.

Start talking to power factor correction equipment vendors in the first instance.
