Do what I do. Hang around people I consider far more boring than myself!

* Go to a nursing home and ask whom there has no family or friends left alive and become their family and friend. * Deliver meals to the homebound, staying to chat with them, and getting to know them. * Go to a childrens' hospital and visit the kids in the Cancer Ward. Draw pictures with them. Make finger puppets and act out a play that the two of you make up. For those who still have any hair left, offer to brush it and tell them how pretty they look. If the ward permits, paint the little girls' fingernails and take your time. Sing to them. Read them stories. Who knows, for some of them, you may be the last person they see before they leave this world, and the first person they recall in the next. That's how you live a full life, by giving it away. You asked.

firstly, thanks your suggestions. your suggestion is to live a full life by helping others. it is really good, is there other ways to live a meaningful life by doing it from our own inner heart? i mean to live a full life for ourselves. when we became old, we will have many beautiful memories and will not have regret for our life.

Not really. As long as you're looking inward, you can't see anyone else, and so your memories will only be of you. It is the reason you are here, now, asking this question, because you've tried it and found that it doesn't work. You want a full life, expecting that something so worthwhile will cost you nothing???

It depends on what inspires you, I'm fortunate to be semi retired and can indulge in my childhood passion for making bows and arrows and creating artwork.
Finding your own work life balance is difficult when you are younger and have family commitments. Try to find what it is you really want to do and try to enjoy whatever you are doing. If I'm cooking dinner in a mad rush and not enjoying it I think maybe stop, have a snack and a glass of beer then take the time to cook the meal at a more enjoyable leisurely pace.
Try to rmember the joy of childhood.
I've recently been told I mustn't drive a car for health reasons. I'm now enjoying walking and cycling. Yesterday Mrs Cat and I walked up to the town through the snow covered woodland, it bought a smile to our faces.

I always think of the expression 'every unforgiving minute' in Kiplings 'If'. It can make me an impatient git, but it does mean I do stuff

If I might ask, what does prevent you from learning/doing dance? Is it time? Or something more serious? There is lots of ways of doing dance. I just ask in case you have a disabilty and I dont want to insult or hurt you. If it is a simple time problem then cutting short on internet will free up more time for dancing than you can afford. Dont give up this dream before you havent tried. How about inventing a new dance? All it needs nowadays is a good idea and some exotic music and a Youtube video. In no time you can become your own dance teacher. Get it done. Weekends is the time to fullfill the dream that you have while working during the week!

Dancing doesn't need to take long or cost much. Dance before you go to work, or compose choreography in your head.
I once knew a guy who was a grand master (or some such) chess player. He took a really boring repetitive job in a factory so that he could play chess matches in his head while pushing the buttons on his machine and removing the stamped parts.
Ask at work about flexi time or shorter hors. It may not happen but if enough people ask it eventually will. Many times during my career I've asked for things only to be told 'its not company policy' often, a few months later it ahs changed when the company realised it would benefit them.
It is very easy to do nothing. If I find myself being despondent and gloomy, I go out and clean my workshop, go for a walk in the woods or shoot one of my bows.
Good luck.

Dancing you can do nearly anywhere, any time. You said in your original post that you surf the net. Why not use that time to learn from online instruction, or music videos. Tons of stuff out there.

Stepping back a few paces, it sounds a bit to me like you're suffering from depression. Maybe you just need a change of scenery. A weekend away from the Same Ol' Same Ol. Sometimes we commit so much time to the Shoulds, that we forget to include our own needs in that list.

Some folks have biochemical depression. Not enough seratonin in their systems and before you know it, everything seems to have a featureless grey sameness about it.

For some, it happens in winter, when they don't get enough sunlight. I've always dreaded winter, because that happens to me. When I lived up north, winters were awful. Couldn't wait til winter was over. Didn't know that it was just a matter of too little sunlight.

Or, it could just be a simple case Cabin Fever? Climbing the walls? Happens to everyone at one time or another.

I bet there were days when you did exactly the same thing you did, say, yesterday, but you weren't bored at all. Days you felt pretty happy, doing exactly the same stuff that finally brought you here to our sage and hallowed halls (however virtual). What made them different? Something did, yes?

Isn't it nice how we Humans are so darned complicated at times? I mean, we've got people here who think they're small, furry quadrupeds, for example. One bloke (whom I won't mention cause he'll prolly stuff crap down my chimney til it's all stopped up) thinks he's a squirrel that can actually fly. No one's had the heart to tell him otherwise. He has a hard enough time landing as it is.

Me? I'm a rare-earth element. Bet you didn't know that.

"Yesterday Mrs Cat and I walked up to the town through the snow covered woodland, it brought a smile to our faces."

When you paws to reflect on those times when were happiest, do you invariably find that at such times you were also the least aware of yourself? I do.

Now, Ms. Cat may have been smiling, but if that were me? Man, I'd seriously be wondering by that point how in the world did I manage to find myself alone in the woods with a talking cat. Forget the bows & arrows bit and all those nice paintings. Just the talking part. And if that squib had showed up?

HELL no!

To live life to the full, you have to be yourself, and enjoying and believe in what you do. You don't have to act and behave as others dictate, in life you will find control freaks that want to establish the standards, be yourself and try and find answers to lifes problems, interact with other people like being as member of CR4, ask questions like this post, and put your opinion of what you think is right, be yourself.

Regards JD.

Del, give Kris back his avatar. We've got enough flying squirrels as it is. We don't need another talking cat pretending to be one.

If your life gets TOO full, on the other hand, become a CR4 Admin. Amazing how much leisure time CR4 Admins have. Or, a cruise-ship captain, but cruise-ship captains can't spend it all at the beach. :-))))

Perhaps it is time for a change in lifestyle, the first step would be to seriously consider getting another job to allow you some more personal time and personal development.

Money isn't everything if you are unhappy and don't have the time to spend it.

Travel, when you see something that interests you, stop and check it out.....People naturally build themselves into a rut given enough time, my answer to that is to move every so often, get rid of all the junk you accumulate so you can get new junk for your new place, just keep a few favorites....Make it a goal to meet new people on a regular basis...Try selling something door to door, until you can do it well enough to get by....Try new things, try everything, but do it one thing at a time, and master it if you can....Learn self discipline....Take a course in salesmanship....The best way to not get bored, is to not be boring....Remember, in the end the only thing that matters is your personal relationships, nurture them carefully.... Not necessarily in order or complete, but there it is...
