Connection of Logic Meter

01/24/2013 1:35 AM

Dear Friends,

We need to connect a logic meter to an existing LV Switchboard and MCC with star delta starters for 3 pump motors.

Please advise at what location we should connect the CT and the link for the voltage.

Kind regards and thank you

  • Voltage?
  • Maximum power?
  • Supply cable size?
  • How much space is available in the MCC?

Etc.

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your response.

The voltage is 400V and each motor is rated at 132 kW, 2 duty; 1 standby. There is not adequate space in the MCC and we need to install the meter on the wall besides the panel. My question is: at what point shall we install the CT and connect the voltage link.

The CT needs to go around one of the three phase conductors, as shown in the installation manual supplied with it. One might reasonably expect three such devices, not one. CTs are current devices, and the need for a <...voltage link...> is currently abstruse.
