Fatigue Knocks Out Reebok Stadium

05/25/2007 9:37 AM

The Bolton Wanderers English football team has been booted out of their Reebok stadium home thanks to metal fatigue. In an annual safety inspection, government engineers determined the structure to be a hazard until repairs can be made. Apparently, constant winds off the moors have induced more than anticipated movement in the structure.

Which components are subject to fatigue and who did the materials testing of those components?

"We`d like to point out that this news item is a total pre-fabrication (if you`ll pardon the expression) but with the rest of the media making stories up - Nolan/Jaaskelainen/Anelka etc to leave and Sam to join Newcastle/City/Chelsea/Read Madrid etc, it seemed churlish not to join in."

pays to read the whole article...
