Pfaff S/M Blown Switich Board

Some time ago a contact (Pete ?)asked question on how to replace blown capasitor in a elecronic control board for a Pfaff 1222E sewing machine--did the repair work -was the repair successful-?? I have a machine with the same problem but do not understand the wiring?-my machine is too good to through away-I have rewired it to run without the electronics but not happy with it!---Bazza

Are you saying that you bypassed the control board? That would imply that you are running at full speed or not at all. Is that correct?

If you have a part number for the circuit board or even for the machine, you may be able to find a surplus replacement part. Make friends with someone in the repair business near you and ask him how he would fix it. Not that we wouldn't like to help, but without more information, it is very difficult to advise.
