Construction - Instrumentation

Dear All

In construction industries is it necessary for the installed instrument to preserve by wrapping with plastic or canvas?.before handover to client or any kind of protection.

please advise.

Your question is gaerbleed.

Installed instruments need no protection.

Not-installed instruments should be kept in their original protective packaging.

Hide it under a canvas until the customer signs the paperwork (pays the money) then keep it under the canvas and hope the canvas does not cost you more than the repair that you try to hide.

On another note. How would you like the work delivered? Say for example a new water tap? Still wrapped or so you can see it after the finish?

Thing to consider: Are you going to transport the item? If so you have to put a transport protection over it. You make castitomer angry if you dont do this!

I do believe the practice is to cover them after installation only if there is on going construction. It reduces internal contamination of the dust that is generated during construction. Also eliminates the need of someone cleaning all the dust and debris from them when construction is complete.

All these devices are not the same some are sealed and some may not be. So in general they all are covered. The construction foreman may know very little about the devices. He has other things to see to.
