Sure is. Some things can take it and some can't. What is your requirement?

Dear Friend,

The cumulative Effect of Harmonic Distortion is a Function of the DESIRED CHOICE for LEVEL OF HARMONIC FILTER - which is to be decided by the Buyer.

Higher the HARMONIC FILTER, HIGHER is the COST, and LESSER is the DISTORTION and and Higher is the life of the Equipment, and vise versa.

But it is advisable to limit the Harmonic Distortion with in 7% of the Fundamental Voltage.

It depends upon where you're located and whose standards you are following, time to start Googling on your title and Power Quality Measurement. You will find a wide variance amongst US, IS, BS and IEC requirements.

There are applicable electrical standards relating to or referencing maximum levels of harmonic distortion, but they vary from country, industry and application.
