Last May you were at the same place:

JUAN MARTIN ASATO KOBASIGAWA

STUDENT OF MECHANIC ENGIENIERING

ENGIENIERING UNIVERSITY

LIMA PERU

I'd check the commercial section, over there.

You'll need hard steel and a good welder.

Manganese steel has very good wearing resistance and it is being used in Earth moving equipments industry, Welding electrode shall have atleast equal or slightly more chemical composition that of a manganese steel.

The following will give some insight to material selection

1. Impact resistance.

Used manganese steel, of which most impact-resistant parts are made. Examples: Earthmover bucket teeth, crusher parts.Stainless steel electrodes are often used. Deposited metal is tough, not necessarily hard.

2. Abrasion resistance.

a. Examples: Cultivator sweeps, plowshares, scraper tools.b. Tungsten carbide and chromium carbide electrodes are commonly used.c. Deposited metal is very hard and resistant to abrasion.

3. Resistance to corrosion and abrasion at high temperatures.

a. Cobalt-based or nickel-based electrodes.

4. Resistance to severe abrasion with moderate impact.

a. Cobalt-based or nickel-based electrodes are used.

5. Resistance to abrasion with moderate to heavy impact.

a. Iron-based alloy electrodes are used.
