Questions Regarding "Plugging" of Induction Motor

What is meant by plugging OF Induction motor??

What are the various procedures used for plugging of induction motor?

Can a motor be brought to a sudden stop by reversing its polarity?how?

When you don't understand the meaning of a word in a paragraph or sentence, give us the whole message and not just the mysterious word. Plugging a motor could refer to the blocking of vent passages or applying the correct connector for your region.
