Eyeballs. They can see gas analysers easier and better than anything else.

Smart phones are portable. They can be used to detect almost anything, including gas analyzers and even Google or "Search Global Spec" which is not linkable from this screen.

Gas analyzer - All industrial manufacturers

Since nobody here will have used all the gas analyzers in the world, I fear we may be of little help.

I am assuming you want to detect gas not gas analyzers.

What gases are you trying to detect as some complete specialised gas detectors and analyzers that detect only one or a few specific gases can be quite small (cellphone sized or smaller)? It depends on the gasses, the accuracy required and the application.

Please provide more information.

If you'd had experience with gas analyzers you'd be asking different questions. With limited experience, you should consider reading through vendor guides. A classic handbook is Honeywell Analytics' (formerly Zellweger Analytics) Gas Book. It used to be a downloadable pdf, but a quick look at their site shows that it now requires a request to Honeywell.

There's a broad power point overview of Honeywell Analytics gas analyzers here:
http://www.semiconductorsafety.org/serf/Practical_Guide_to_Gas_Monitoring_Rev_2.pdf#page=14&zoom=auto,185,0

Gas analyzers are (relatively) calibration and maintenance intensive. Many use sensors with finite lifespans.

Therefore, local access to a supplier of cal gas, replacement sensor elements, parts, and qualified repair and cal services should be a serious consideration. Having a "superior" device written up in a trade journal ad as 'the best' that is out-of-service because it needs calibration or a repair requiring its shipment to its country of origin half way around the world is of little value.

Depending on what your reporting requirements are, the ease with which one logs and retrieves data and generates a report from the data could be a serious criterion. That whole category of the interfaces, cables, adapters and software needed for reporting is all over the map. It deservesn as much attention as the instrument itself.

Can you provide more information as your questions are still far too broad.

What gasses and concentrations are you trying to measure and what is the application?
