How Do I Clean/Maintain Bronze Plaques

03/10/2013 6:43 PM

What are the different methods of cleaning bronze plaques such as on tombstones.

I am looking for something that is easy & relatively quick.

It depends on what finish you want.
A wipe with a damp cloth or soft brush. Dry with a soft cloth followed by some very soft wax would be my preference to mainain the patina.

The beauty of bronze is, that a natural patina is not that bad; that's why they use it for things like statues in the town square....or tombstones.

Your loved one will appreciate your visit, much more than a shiny plaque.
