Calculate Transformer Power Rating

03/16/2013 4:15 PM

DESIGNED LOAD:

phase 1 = 65 A

phase 2= 65A

Phase 3 = 80 A

n.b: the load include: 3*20A elevator

A textbook is a book that has all the materials and examples of math for calculating

answers to questions, such as the lame ones you have asked here.

Ask the teacher.

WHAT VOLTAGE?

[The shouting is deliberate.]

80 V √3 / 1000. (Times appropriate service factor.)

Re: calculate transformer power rating

it may be as follow, the greater load per phase will be taken in consideration 80A, and the elevator will need 20% more to boost up implies an aditive of 16A IMPLIES a load/phase= 96A THAT Will b equivalent to 64KVA or simply 65KVA

Agreee??

No. You haven't accounted for voltage.

The unit for power is not an ampere of current. Anyone capable of properly sizing a transformer would know that. You are not capable. Now go back to your studies and stop asking us to do your schoolwork.
