How to Find the Area Intersection Between Two 2D Entities in Inventor?

03/21/2013 4:41 AM

I want to find the area of intersection between two 2D entities. These entities may be circle, rectangle or any irregular shape. Is there any provision in Inventor software that one can find the intersection of two 2D entities? Actually I need to find the intersection area between two circle. One circle is fixed and other is moving. I want area during each time step. How to automise this?

If Inventor offers a "polyline" option like the one in AutoCAD, you can model the area of intersection as a polyline, and then use the "list" command to show the area.
