Conical Twin Screw Extruder Machine

Can anyone help me out give the possibilities of screw crack in twin screw extruder machine for making PVC pipes.
Screw material : Nitrided Alloy 38CrMoALA
Make: Fangli - China

Let's have some details of the crack. Pictures? What kind. A crack implies that the shaft is still in one piece?

Where is the crack? Dimensions if possible and applied torque in function. How many hours did it work ? Working temperature ?

The crack can be generated by a bad heat treatment with high residual stresses, by a wrong design with a high stress notch factor by a bad manufacturing which generated a notch factor where the designer provided a correct radius and so on.
