04/05/2013 6:53 AM

Can anyone tell me which grade of Fe should be useful for Handle spring (Dolly Spring) in MCB manufacturing. Basically I am looking for grade of Fe material for making spring.

Thanks with regards

Are you perhaps trying to determine which type of steel to use?

Springs are made from steel. You can only reduce the quality of a product so far, before it becomes A FIRE HAZARD!

There are possible issues with slow corrosion and creep. Some types of spring steel might be suitably resistant; also beryllium copper might be a candidate material.

Dear Mr. Tornado,

You have rightly pointed out as "There are possible issues with slow corrosion and creep."

I can mention that the SPRINGS THAT ARE USED - WILL LOOSE ITS SPRING CHARACTER i.e. STIFFNESS/SPRING EFFECT and DESIRED STIFFNESS IS LOST owing to EXPOSED CONDITION TO HEAT INSIDE THE PANEL/MCB, and the Spring becomes so HARD, and it acts as solid - which leads to a condtion of NO-SPRING at all.

We recd. an advise from the Manufacturer to replace the Spring Every Year, which even to-day we are following.

It is possible that Mr. kvsridhar may miss to see this link. I suggest that this link can be posted to him through CR4 PERSONAL MESSAGING. Now how to find the Membership is to be searched in the " SHOW MEMBERS" and locate and post there.

Pl. inform how to straight away to locate a Member, by cr4 personal messaging to me.

Thanks,

Which brand of MCB are you planning to counterfeit?

Just so I know what to avoid.

If this seems unduly harsh I would point out that a reputable manufacturer would have the information in house. They would not be asking a group of random guys on the internet.
