Have you done any independent research?

Read the available literature?

Gone on-line to search for the answer (not to ask others, but to do your own search)?

Looked at Wiki?

What have you done so far?

Being that both technologies are typically used only on motors in the megawatt and larger range, the answer as to how to select them is: hire a professional who knows what they are and has experience with them.
