HMA Design

In Marshall Method of HMA design it is mentioned that incremental in asphalt cement should be 1/2% while making marshall moulds.Can we consider the incremental in asphalt cement less than 1/2%?

Its a normal practice to increment asphalt content by 0.5% because increasing content less than this will result in increased number of samples also variation at 0.2 -0.4%level doesnt affect mix very much.
