AAnimals follow their instincts.

Humans don't.

"animals" and "birds" [sic] (my quotation marks)

I think we act more like "animals" every day...regressive behavior is portrayed as progressive thinking.

Amazing! The many people who don't like animals have a lot to learn, but they never will, they are stuck with the idea that animals are just there for us to use, misuse, eat, ignore or despise. Sir David Attenborough, the one person I most admire on this earth, has just emerged from heart surgery at aged 87. I wish everyone would watch his programs and absorb his messages over the last several decades, about our world and how we should guard what we have, before man's greed and corruption destroy it all.

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." (Edmund Burke)

Sir David is neither a vegetarian nor a vegan.

He enjoys eating meat.

Your argument has lost some merit.

Hell, the Dalai Lama eats meat!

You obviously missed Attenborough's "argument." I eat meat too. Raising animals for food is not against the idea of wildlife conservation. It's the mass slaughter of rhinos, elephants, seals and now even walrus for a small part of their body for us to use for some trivial purpose that riles me. Then there's bears kept in tiny cages so that idiotic Chinamen can use bear bile to enhance their sexual prowess. Bah!

I am agree with you sir, the always non-sense arguments among people is a direct indication of hatred and no-love.. that is why in these days Great Nations are collapsing and taken by foreign immigrants and the natives remain busy in fighting and hating each others.

II agree with your dislike of wanton killing and caging of animals. It is a shame.

I hope that you are not opposed to the systematic harvesting of overpopulated herds of animals.

Coming from the south, I've seen deer populations balloon to the point that they are a great problem for farmers and urban gardeners, not to mention carnage on the highways.

Other species, not native to the region are steadily encroaching as well.

So do I, and I'd add the vile habit of lopping off a shark's fin for soup and throwing the shark back in to die. To make things worse, I hear the soup doesn't taste of much either!

I didn't see where you posted the Sir's argument, but I did where you used his name and "eat" in a context inferring what I inferred, or so I thought.

I totally disagree with the killing of certain species for what I view as trivial and wasteful (downright inhuman in certain cases).

But, I like to eat meat and animals raised for that purpose suits me just fine.

If we get into the discussion about killing and eating and blah, blah, blah...whatever. I kill it, gut it, eat it and crap it out. Makes no nevermind to me. I am cavemannish like that.

This isn't off-topic, I want to know the reasoning behind the original statement, and I doubt I am alone here

Yes individuals of two different animal species can get along together in special circumstances, for the rest of them the rest of the time thou they are enemies that will try and kill each other (well the cat will anyway).

If we followed animals overall example wouldn't there be more conflict not less, as this animal example is the exception not the rule where we humans of different colour and faith coexist with the exception of the minority that don't.

Just saying, and yes I get the original point but this is a discussion forum so I thought I would bring the point up.

Jack - Ya humanity, we're not perfect but getting there slowly.
