Backup Overcurrent Protection

06/15/2013 1:23 AM

can anybody help me working out settings for voltage restrained overcurrent protection?

I want guidelines on how to calculate both voltage levels? current setting and TMS are already worked out.

What about the manufacturer's instruction manual?

relay is micom p343, it suggest that set the voltage threshold, V Dep OC V<2 Set to a value above the voltage measured at the relay and upper voltage threshold setting, V Dep OC V<1 Set, should be set below the minimum corrected phase-phase voltage level for a close-up HV earth fault.

But through this information I am not able to make out. Plz help

If voltage is being measured in range as 395 V to 412 V ; this Upper voltage threshold is to be set below 395 V (1) .

More than 412 V , this voltage threshold(2) is to be set .

PT secondary is 110 v, then what should be the settings?

Considering the phase to phase voltage as 110 ;

104 V as Below 110 can be opted - provided we are not getting this reading in loaded / fully loaded / start up - condition ( normal ) .

120 V as above 110 V may be chosen based on no load / min load condition - being measured in different shift timings .

If volage and upper voltage threshold required for us is being interchanged , overcurrent protection will be activated . In that case , interchange these values as well - please .

Phase to phase voltage if is different , work out the value in a similar way . Regards .
