Lab balance - just the guts please!

06/01/2007 9:45 AM

Hi there,

Me and my colleagues would like to buy the analytical lab balance - but without the usual box & windows that surround it,

i.e. we'd like the pan and all the guts beneath it.

Is it possible to buy something like this?

Thanks in advance

John,

Wirral, England, UK

Over here we have

http://www.usa.gov/shopping/shopping.shtml

where you can find all kinds of lab surplus, often in horrible shape and cheap. You might google up something similar over there.

Check out Mettler of Switzerland. They probably have the largest range of precision analytical grade single pan lab balances.

One thing to keep in mind is it should be an LVDT based unit for consistency & accuracy.
