06/30/2013 2:55 AM

Hi,

Could you please let me have some information about PIPE EFW BE 100% RT NACE MR0175 ASME B36.19M, A387 GR.321 CL1 or any spec for review.

Because i have received the high price for this material.

Regards

Arash

I don't have access to ASTM/ASME specifications, but presumably you do? However, looking at the ASTM A387 description online, it mentions 'grades 2, 12, 11, 22, 22L, 21, 21L, 5, 9 and 91', but no 321. Maybe the spec has changed, or your purchase spec is in error. Are you trying to obtain 18Cr-10Ni-Ti material? This is a plate spec, and you reference NACE MR0175 which addressed hydrogen service, so that would indicate a stabilized stainless steel pipe rolled from plate for hydrogen service, right? No wonder it is expensive. (Actually, I think A240 Standard Specification for Chromium and Chromium-Nickel Stainless Steel Plate, Sheet, and Strip for Pressure Vessels and for General Applications is the correct spec for 321 material, but, again, I don't have access to the specs.).

Are you the procurement agent or the specifying engineer?

Actually, I suspect "ASTM A312 / A312M - 13a Standard Specification for Seamless, Welded, and Heavily Cold Worked Austenitic Stainless Steel Pipes" should be considered in there, somewhere.

Thanks for your Guidance, this inquiry received from customer as you know all of engineer use standards in order to find out spec details but for this material i have confused.

For sure material A387 used for Hydrogen services and the price too much high.

Declined. Try using an internet search engine, such as Google, instead.
